  • What material are hats made of?

A hat can be made of different materials. The material used to make the hat determines the shape and properties that can be given to a hat. Each material has its own specific properties. For example, a hat to be worn in winter should be made of a material that is warm, such as wool, and resistant to rain. A summer hat, on the other hand, should be breathable and protect against the sun, such as cotton.

Hats can also be made from less common materials. For example, you can order hats from ReHats Berlin online at Julien Deluxe. ReHats Berlin is a German brand that has been making hats from recycled fabrics since 2015, such as original coffee bags made from jute, work clothes, jeans and textile scraps from textile production. In this way, they not only make very original and stylish hats, but they also contribute to a better world. For example, a lot of water and
chemicals. ReHats Berlin buys the surplus clothing and the remnants of these fabrics, designs the hats in Berlin and has them made in Poland. In addition, for every hat sold, they plant three trees through the Eden Reforestation Project.

  • How do I determine the size of my hat?

The circumference of your head in centimeters determines the size of the hat. To measure the circumference, use a measuring tape or a piece of string. Stand in front of a mirror to make sure you measure correctly. Place the measuring tape around the back of your head and bring it to the middle of your forehead about 0.5cm to 1cm above your ears. If you prefer to wear the hat a little lower, bring the measuring tape to just above your eyebrows. The measuring tape should not be too tight or too loose. The number you now read on the measuring tape is the size of your hat. If you are using a piece of string, you can measure the length in centimeters. Round the centimeters up. For example, if you measure 58.5cm, take 59cm for the size of your hat. If the size of the hat is expressed in S/M/L, you can use this conversion table to determine the size of your hat.
