With a safety razor you can shave comfortably and smoothly. Because a safety razor only uses one blade, you significantly reduce the risk of problems such as razor burn, ingrown hairs and skin irritation. This is in contrast to cartridge razors with 3 or 5 blades.

An open razor shaves even smoother and with even less skin irritation. However, this is only for advanced users because shaving with an open razor must be done at the right angle. A lot of practice is recommended.
