3. Storing socks: fold them like Marie Kondo

  • Place the two pairs on top of each other and fold them flat at the heel, as they are in the packaging. You can of course now place them on top of each other and make stacks, but that is rather inconvenient when you then need the bottom pair of the stack.
    Better to stack them on top of each other and fold them into three or four, depending on how long they are, like Marie Kondo does. Marie Kondo is the Japanese tidying guru who developed the KonMari method, which will get any slob tidying up. By folding them like this, you get little packages. You put these packages on their side, nicely against each other in the drawer. The advantage of this storage method is that you have a very nice overview and that no pair gets in the way of taking the right pair out of the drawer. Not difficult to do, but oh so handy!

4. Storing socks: making square packages

5. Storing socks: roll them up instead of folding them
